Hi Sandy,

The whistle arrived yesterday and I'm well pleased will it, it has a nice sound (allow I'm probably over blowing some notes) a great instrument.

Many thanks and best wishes - Al.

Hi Sandy,

The whistle arrived promptly this morning (Wednesday).  Well crafted, it has a very pleasant and vibrant tone - exceeding my expectations

 Many thanks,

Peter

Dear Sandy

Thank you very much for the wonderful chanter whistle and for taking so much care in making it. It is a wonderful instrument and will give me years of playing pleasure.

The very best of wishes

I received the Jasper C whistle and it is ever so much nicer than the
*********** I have. I am playing better already. The cat seems to
like it too!

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for the whistle, it arrived this morning.
It is a high quality instrument, and I would have no quibbles
recommending it to others.

Thanks again

Hiya Sandy, came home today to find a package waiting and I can't tell you how surprised I was. Sending this was a really really nice thing to do, so thoughtful, I just can't tell you.

I first want to compliment you on the book's design, the song selection, the melody and harmony on connected pages, the spiral bind that lets it lie flat. The whole thing is really good work, something to be proud of. They really should make all music books this way.

I've been working on O Holy Night, it's my favourite Christmas song and I think the most beautiful musically, it can stand among some of the greatest classical melodies ever composed in my opinion. I can just imagine how it will sound with my brother playing the chords with some embellishment while I carry the melody. Very excited.

I went to a large music store the other day to look for music and found that finding music arranged in keys that the pennywhistle can cover is very difficult, the selection limited. Often it seems you'll have to change keys and/or simplify the music to make it work, which is a shame. That's why getting this book with it all in range is a huge bonus.

Thanks again for your kindness and I hope you have a good Thanksgiving and a very musical Christmas.

-David

Hi Sandy,

Whistles arrived yesterday, thankyou very much. They seem very nice, but the b flat is going to take me a little getting used to on the bottom notes. :-)

cheers and many thanks

Brett

Sandy:

Chanter whistle in D arrived in excellent shape today.

Thank you for prompt posting of same.

Instructions very helpful, the whistle is a gem.

Saving for a Bb now

Hi,

Thanks for sending the Elf Song Jasper D whistle and especially for
adding in the free Christmas tunebook. I will play some of the tunes
with my daughter this season for sure. She's 15 and a natural on the
whistle (unlike me with the fossilized brain--but I'm getting it
slowly). The new whistle is working well and is such a relief after
struggling with the narrow-bore ****** that clogs up all the time
(big oops, that purchase). My husband (David Greenberg, the fiddler/
violinist) even picked up the whistle and said "hey, this is fun" so
who knows, maybe he'll start playing too.

Hi,

The chanter whistle is here, thank you.  The lack of air it needs is pretty amazing.  I think if I hold it at arm's length and blow in its direction it might just work.  I may try taping off part of the mouthpiece to at least get the pressure up a light practice chanter pressure.

Surprisingly, it works well as a cat caller.  Each time I fool with it he comes to see what that weird noise is.

 Thank you again,
 Michael

Hello Sandy.

I've got the band addicted to the enchanters. LOL!

7 new ones, I can order.

Included are two for my twins... their chantergroup is putting the bagpipe chanters aside to practice on the enchanters.
Isn't that an acknowledgement for you or not? :-)

Well, we've ordered quite a lot this year.

Have a wonderful christmastime!

Greetings

Jan and Molly

Whistle arrived today, it looks lovely, cant wait to
play it! Have a wonderful Christmas time.

Regards

Andrew

Hi Sandy,
I received the penny whistle in the mail yesterday evening. It is beautiful!! Thank you so much. I love it, and I do not know how to play it! :-) My boyfriend will LOVE it! Have a wonderful Christmas, and enjoy the birth of God's son Jesus.

Hi!

I am starting the bagpipes, and it is going to be a year before I really play them, but I want to know the tunes in a way that makes my family glad I am undertaking this new venture.

So, Please send me a Elf Song EnChanter, Whistles with GHB (Bagpipe) fingering in the key of D.

I can at least entertain them a little with the whistle while I squeak away privately with my chanter...

Thank you!

Hi Sandy,

Yes, I would like the EnChanter in D.This sounds like a terrific way to practice pipes without the usual chanter.
I look forward to giving it a try. Have a fine evening.

Greg

Hi guys,

I'm sorry to have missed you at the New Years Eve bash. Nolan just passed along your new manufactured D whistle, and it's brilliant!

The new fipple plays really nice, good work. It fits tighter than the metal one, which gives it a purer tone, and though it's not as aesthetically pleasing, I don't miss the metallic taste on my lips. (I don't own any nail polish)

Thanks once again for the fine whistle.

Sandy- I received the Enchanter whistle yesterday. It’s way cool and I’m a happy camper!

Please let me know when you’re set to ship it’s big brother….

Thanks,

Dave

Ms Jasper:

The package with the two whistles came yesterday (Saturday) -- I
found them in the mail just as I heading out the door for a concert
to hear Alasdair Fraser the fiddler, which seemed like a good omen.

Anyway, today I was able to put them through some sonic workouts, and
basically both whistles turned out to be very good. According to  my
chronometer, I didn't have to do much adjusting of the mouth pieces
to center the fundamentals at their proper pitches. The upper
register of the high D was not shrill, unlike most high D's -- in
fact, both were a pleasure to play, and some nice Scottish tunes in F
sounded very good on the Bb whistle.  They both felt well-balanced to
handle, and the paint coatings not only were pleasing to the eye, but
felt good to the touch. I didn't feel like I was holding metal at all
while playing them. This week I will take them to a session or two.

Regards, Phil

Sandy,

I took the D to an hard-core, hard-nose Irish session last week, and
people liked it how it sounded - that is the best review of all, I
think.

Best wishes, Phil

Sandy

The whistle arrived today in good condition.

It plays nicely.  Thanks

Brian

Sandy,

I just got your whistle through ebay yesterday. It is awesome. I’ve been hoping for a tin whistle with the GHB fingering for a long time. Today I visited your website and discovered that what I would LOVE is a GHB, Bb, coppertone, bovine whistle. Any chance?

Marty

Just bought one of these via e-bay.  Arrived today and fell for it straight away.  Many thanks for inventing this hybrid as it fills a gap that I have noticed in the instrument world for many a year.  As a pipe and an Irish Whistle player I have often had a bit of fun playing pipe tunes on the whistle, but no more.  Top quality instrument, feels nice and heavy in your hands and fingering is right where it should be.  Still trying to get to grips with the "breath" of the whistle but they all have a life of their own and soon tell you when you've got it wrong.  Patience and practice I guess.

Many thanks.  All the best with your continued whistle making.  I will recommend it to anyone.

Hi Sandy,

Just got your email (I've been out of town) - can't believe it's ready so soon! I'll get the money order ready and send it off as soon as I can, no later than Friday, and when it's in the mail I'll email you with my address again. By the way, I've really been enjoying the Elf Song CD, and am looking forward to Moon Spell when it's complete! Even more than that, I absolutely LOVE my Elf Song whistle!!!

Thanks again for everything - I'll be in touch soon!
 Cheryl

Sandy,

Whistles have arrived safe and sound and completely up
to my expectations i.e. superb.

Initially I experienced a little difficulty getting the whistles to go, but
after reading the notes you sent with the whistles everything fell into
place.  I am a piper and of course I was blowing far too hard, but after
practising a bit of breath control it all fell into place.  Still need to
practise a bit more though.  Besides, my grandson loves the sound they make.

Again, thank you for a very nice well made quality instrument.

Best regards,

Frank

Hi Sandy,

Just wanted to let you know that my Eb tube arrived yesterday and I opened it when I got home last night. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I'll spend some time playing it today and tomorrow, so that I can include comments on it in my review. I will hopefully have the review finished by Thursday or Friday. I have taken the liberty of adding comments from my church orchestra director as well, who played the whistle with the D tube during a choir & orchestra number one Sunday morning. He keeps reminding me now that I have a really fantastic whistle to play, while he's stuck playing a ****** until his new Abell whistle is finished. Anyway, I'll talk to you again soon, after I've had a chance to put the Eb through it's paces and finish up the review.

P.S. - Thank you also for the note you enclosed to me and Peanut! That was very sweet of you! Once again I say, you are truly a queen amongst whistlemakers.

Cheryl

Hi Sandy--

The whistles and tutorial arrived yesterday.  I haven't had a chance to
listen to the CD yet but I like your approach to the basics on the
whistle.  That picture on the back is just amazing.  How did you get so
many kids to sit still long enough to take it?

Anyway, thanks again.  I'll try to record one or two tunes with the lads
playing their chanter whistles for you.

Sandy

You have been one of the most pleasant folks to work with.  Thanks again
and Happy Victoria Day.

Sandy,

The whistles and stuff have arrived...they look fabulous, of course! My
initial impressions are good..easy to play, easy to hit the 2nd octave,
doesn't take a lot of air, etc.  As I recall, my big issue with the used
one I had was the tuning..my tuning slide is packed away somewhere in
the move. I'll be finding it soon, I imagine, and I can begin giving the
whistles the full once over.  I'm looking forward to it!

Greg (Wanderer)

Dearest Lady of Ladysmith,

Sandy, I am very happy with the whistle! It plays easily in both octaves,
and sounds clean and pure as I hoped for. It is by far my best sounding
whistle. It doesn't take much air to play in the 2nd octave, and it doesn't
require me to play too soft in the 1st octave. The pressure required is just
right. Also, it doesn't jump from one octave to another unexpectedly either.
I just started playing it as soon as I got it out of the package as if I had
it for a long time.

It is so ruggedly built, I suspect I could use the whistle as a weapon if I
desired too. :)

OK, that is my praise report. :) I do love the whistle. I'll be interested
to see how much I can refine the tone with more practice. I will have to get
use to the 2-3-5-6 C position though, but I suppose this will come in just a
day or two. I am quite use to the 2-3 position from my other whistles. I am
very happy to see that the G# 1-2-4-5-6 and the 2nd octave G# 1-2-4-6 plays
so well. So I can easily play in the key of D, G, and A. Most of my other
whistles cannot do this so easily. I am also amazed that the whistle plays
middle D with all holes closed so well, even though I might not use this
position very often.

God bless you and yours Sandy!!!

Your Yankee friend,
Curtis
